What is SUBMAT?

Submersible Matting Systems (SUBMAT) are patented geotextile mattresses filled with beach sand from their installation location. They feature a three-dimensional polypropylene geotextile topping that acts as a durable wearing surface. Installed entirely by hand, SUBMAT requires no heavy equipment—just one to two portable trash pumps to move sand slurry into its tubing. The water escapes through the geotextile, leaving sand trapped inside, forming a hard, concrete-like surface ready for operations.

Rapid Deployment

Small teams can install SUBMAT quickly, enabling over-the-shore capabilities.

Proven Durability

Survives dozens of landings, hundreds of vehicle passes, and remains stable through sea state 4.

Scalable Design

Sections can be joined for any required length or width.
